Fort Bragg, North Carolina is the most populated post in the Army. It is home to Army Special Operations and the 82nd Airborne Division. The best of the best serve there and are often the first to deploy around the world.
John Snyder lived that life. Now he is on post everyday as a Navigator, sharing the Gospel with soldiers and helping them walk boldly with Christ. He also talks with many soldiers who are deployed. “It is a joy to coach so many missionaries in camouflage,” John beams. These men are guiding their fellow soldiers to Christ, leading Bible studies, and even reaching their Muslim interpreters with the Gospel! John truly has a global vision to invest deeply in those who will then guide others in their faith, across the Army and into the world.
John’s wife, Jessica, is a superstar partner in ministry. Having grown up as a military dependent, she knows what military life demands. She invests in her five children as her priority, and also oversees the women’s ministry on post. Her leadership has helped this diverse group –military spouses, single female soldiers, and civilian supporters – to bond and flourish together. She joins John in a passion to see men and women living for Jesus and sharing the Gospel wherever they go.
John & Jessica have had a remarkable impact. Over a one-year period, they helped send out over a dozen couples and individuals as disciple-makers in a variety of roles: serving in the Army, teaching summer camp, practicing medicine, learning to fly, and going to college. Their training as disciples at Fort Bragg prepared them to help others grow in the grace and love of Christ.
About Navs Military
Every Navigator’s passion is to help others know Christ and to make Him known®. Through small-group Bible studies and life-on-life discipleship, we come alongside people and teach them to be Christ’s followers as they study and apply the Word of God to their lives. Then we equip them to pass on what they have learned to others. Navs Military works alongside chaplains in over 100 locations to help meet the spiritual needs of service members and their families. We serve those who serve our country.

Fort Bragg, North Carolina is the most populated post in the Army. It is home to over 500,000 soldiers. The best of the best serve there.
Matthew has lived that life. As a soldier, both Active Duty and Army Reserves, for over twenty years he has a unique perspective and heart for what soldiers go through. Now he is on post everyday as Navigator Staff, sharing the Gospel with soldiers and helping them chose Christ in all their decisions. Just as the Army is a cultural and lifestyle change, so is following Christ. Matthew loves helping soldiers discover what it truly means to follow Christ with their lives and not just activities. Matthew desires to invest in soldiers, train and resource them, and empower them to reach their units so the Army and the world will be reached with the Gospel.
Hannah, is a superstar. Shortly after moving to Ft. Bragg she endured a new born and Matthew's fourth deployment with the Army, his first since they had been married. Balancing a newborn and a new environment, Hannah continued to reach out to spouses and soldiers with the Word. She invests faithfully in our son and facilitates the women's ministry out of our home and All American Chapel. Her compassion and hospitality has helped this diverse group bond and flourish together.

I have been laboring for Jesus Christ alongside The Navigators on Fort Bragg since 2017, while serving as an active duty Army officer in the 82nd Airborne Division. In June of 2020, I will leave active duty to work full-time as an intern with The Navigators Military Ministry. My vision is to reach the ends of the earth for the gospel, through Life-to-Life™ disciplemaking on Fort Bragg.
Every Navigator’s passion is to help others “to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same™.” Through small-group Bible studies and Life-to-Life™ discipleship, we come alongside people and teach them to be Christ’s followers as they study and apply the Word of God to chart their lives. Then we train them to pass what they have learned on to others.
Through our Military ministry, we work alongside U.S. military staff and chaplains to help meet the spiritual needs of service personnel and their families. We serve those who serve our country
